Hi!

I did a tutorial on You Tube last week for a great trance lead sound using the NN-19 Synth Raw Elements, 3 Malstroms and a couple of other effects. What I wanted to ask people here though, is there a certain usage for these raw elements. The raw element in the trance patch I did was using a bass raw element, so I guess it was for the bass part of the sound it was being used?

What patches would people here use these synth raw elements for? is there a certain usage for these, such as building blocks to thicken up leads etc etc.

Will be intriguing to find out what people here say.

Thanks!

Hey,

Sorry Simon I don't know synth raw elements.. If they're found in the factory bank, then I don't go there very much..

If you're loading these raw synth elements into the nn19 or nnxt then you will be limited to what you can do with it/them - a sound sample is like a photo - you can make brighter, or change colours, crop it, cut and paste etc, not quite as much flexibility as from a synth directly (which is more like a video in this comparison).

Hope that makes sense and I've not totally missed the point.

I think it would be a good idea to share a audio example of what you are talking about.

Im not farmilier with it either, but i reckon they are sampled wave forms?
If such, then i'd recommend using them to underneath generated synths (in reason) to fatten them up indeed (judging by what you'd like to achieve)
