Powertools for reason 3.0 by Kurt Kurasaki
Anyone else here ever read it? I learned a ton from that book and was wondering why he never updated the series after that... and also I'm wondering if there is another book out there for intermediate to advanced users of reason that has step-by-step tutorials and explains engineering concepts and principles etc... I know there's a plethora of online material but I do prefer printed books.

That came out in 2005 and Reason is now a much different program. You can learn much better with quality video tutorials which there are now for free.
