Review a Study Guide, Anyone...?
Hi,
I am putting together some Study Guides, supporting the (UK) currculum for Music Technology. I recently completed the build for "Unit 107" of the Level 1 City & Guilds qualification for Music technology - "MIDI and Audio Techniques".
I'd appreciate any feedback - aside from the fact that the generic voice sounds a bit pooh!;
REMOVED
(be aware this file is quite large, at 37Mb - it is meant for off-line use!)
I will be taking the file down in a few days!
Thanks very much!

i like her voice.
some of this stuff is unnecessary e.g phantom power box- that normally comes on an interface/ recording desk
shouldn't the sound check be on the first page?
at 107-35/51 would the students really be using Record?
107-53/51 the last paragraph needs to be readdressed
107-54/51 again this whole section whilst nominally true needs revision as i often use a dynamic to record acoustic guitar.
these are what i noticed.
i also suggest you put in a page about interfaces.

This is cool!
Ok I took a look at it and here are some opinions and corrections I will offer.
P:3 - Record is discontinued it is now Reason 8 / It would be better to say "Mac" rather then "iMac" as iMac is just one product and all Apple computers are just Mac'sDaw's are just a tool. Learn The VSSL In Reason - Learn How to Mix

...okay...
Updated:
Sound Check page first!
Updated to reflect Reason 8 or (older) Record (I know that some training establishments still use Record!)
Updated iMac to Mac.
"Cheaper" Dynamic Mikes aren't good for softer sounds...
The DI Box and Phantom Power sections are required, as part of the curriculum!
Thanks guys!
