    Reason backwards compatibility?

At my high school, we use Reason 6 in class to complete projects and make music. I am running a trial of Reason 8 at home, and I will buy it once my trial is over. I was working on a project that I brought home to finish, but when I got back to school, the file couldn't be opened(I did use some Reason 8 features that didn't exist on Reason 6). I was wondering, if I only used what Reason 6 has available (feature wise)in Reason 8, would I be able to transfer my project back to Reason 6 after I worked on it on Reason 8?
    Thanks in advance

I had same problem. you need to download the reason6 and use it for school and keep the 8 for you. anything done in the 8 versions will not be able to be opened in the 6 version.
